Project Week Project Hours
Mon, Apr 19 - Sun, Apr 25 3.5

I finished setting up my laptop and my development environment. The project I'll be working on will be a site that lists stand-up comedy events. At first, I'll mainly be focusing on listing online events, due to COVID-19. I believe online stand-up comedy is at an experimental stage right now. I'll get into that at a later time. I'm currently trying to keep this as simple as possible, so I can ship it as soon as possible.

I've broken down my project into different phases:

  1. Creating Users - Lettings people create accounts with various third party accounts, like Facebook, Google, Twitter, Twitch, Instagram, etc.
  2. Creating Online Events - Let registered users create events with an online focus.
  3. List Events [LAUNCH] - Allow anyone to view event listings using search criteria and filters.
  4. Create Offline Events - Let registered users create events that happen live at traditional venues.
  5. Create Comedian Profiles - Allow comedians to create their own profiles.
  6. TBD

Life

We are currently locked down until May 20. This can be a downer, so I try not to think about it.

My oldest daughter is playing around with bigger words that she hears and ends up making some pretty funny sentences. Although, these sentences escape me at the moment. My youngest daughter has upped her walking game and is trying to add dancing to that, by swinging her arms. I've played, Looking for Me by Paul Woolford, Diplo, and Kareen Lomax, enough times now that when my youngest hears it she gets excited and starts trying to dance, while my oldest starts to lip-sync to it. My oldest also appreciates all the animals in the video :)
