I figured out how I'm going to set up my custom claims in Firebase Authentication. I also wired up a way to have people login with their Facebook login, instead of using their email address to create another account they would need to manage credentials for. I still need to implement a way for people to remove their logins when they want to, which means I'll have to add some more stuff in an account section. It's like people say, mo' login providers, mo' problems. I'm not serious, nobody says that.
Anyways, I made some good progress this week and I put in more time than usual. That wasn't intentional, it just worked out that way.
Life
I had one of those weeks where you run around trying to get stuff done, and it doesn't work out the way you want it to. When you actually manage to get something done, it turns into a long drawn out process. That was my week. Luckily, I had a lovely dinner with my wife at the end of the week, which I like to think wouldn't have been as great as it did, if it wasn't for the lousy week I had running around. Everything always balances out, I just don't know when.
Maybe I can make an app that uses machine learning, big data, and augmented reality to find out when I will be lucky. It will run in the cloud and text message me on a day that is my lucky day. It will be free as long as I enter my social insurance number and credit card information. I think it's a fair deal. I swear I won't sell my own information to any third parties for now. If I do, I'll tell myself in a fleeting text message along with my lucky day text message. I'm going to love it. I can't wait to have this life changing app in my life.
